Tom Holland, the mastermind behind “Chucky,” turns to fans to help create a new
thriller by accepting donations in exchange for unparalleled access and input on the
upcoming thriller KILLING FRANK
LOS ANGELES, Calif. Writer/Director Tom Holland (“Child’s Play,”
“Fright Night”) and Actor/Producer Tom Malloy (“The Alphabet Killer”) have joined
forces and talent to produce KILLING FRANK, a thriller that explores how far someone
will go to be the sole inheritor of an ailing billionaire’s fortune. However, with a weak
economy and a cautious industry, Holland and Malloy have created a new business model
and turned to their fans to help translate this script into a feature film.
Launched in February, www.helpuskillfrank.com, targets movie fans from every
corner of the world to sign up for the once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of a
Hollywood feature film from development through production. Holland explains,
“Having been in this business for over 40 years, I have lived and worked through the ups
and down of the economy, numerous strikes and the continuous changes in technology.
The one thing that has remained constant are the fans. My fans, especially, are incredibly
Internet savvy and when this idea was pitched to me it seemed like a perfect fit.”
For as little as $5.00, anyone can join the team and gain access to behind-thescenes
footage, polls that influence the storyline, and be entered into contests and raffles.

Currently in pre-production, KILLING FRANK is scheduled to shoot in Los
Angeles in late spring and will be produced by Trick Candle Productions in association

A new movie to be made from an online story from AICN's Quint aka Eric Vespe is THE HOUSE. Vespe's story, who was also co-written by Matt Ward, was picked up by producers Annette Williams and Elija Wood and will be directed by Kristoffer Aaron Morgan.After a horrible accident leaves a man pysichally and emotionally scarred, he is placed in a nursing home to recuperate. Residents of the home seem to be haunted monsterous nightmares and you can hear the screams of terror in the walls of the home itself. WETA is handeling the effects which will be practical but good. As more comes in we will keep you posted but until then you can view the art for the film.

Los Angeles- based Endgame Entertainment and Italy's Piedmont Film Commission have just launched (FIP) Film Investment Piedmont, a project that hopes to lure U.S. studios in to help with the investment of movies in the Piedmont region. it was launched on Monday at the EFM and has already started off with $15.6 million and plans to help with two to four movies a year. Among some of the films from the Turin region which are English speaking is the slasher by Dario Argento's GIALLO.

Famed pilot director David Nutter, THE MENTALIST, is now in the midst of creating a new show called EASTWICK. Adapted from from the 1987 movie WITCHES OF EASTWICK which was based on the novel by John Updike.Based on a concept developed by scribe-exec producer Maggie Friedman, it will tell the story of a mysterious man who comes into a town. Not long after his arrival thre women realize that they house supernatural powers within them.
In an interview, Nutter says of Friedman, "She has come up with an amazing start-off point-- I can really see where the series is going to
go" and thren continues to say, "She's got a great bedrock of characters and a great mystery."We will keep you posted on more about the series as it comes in.

That's right all my hell kittens! The great Roman Polanski is back in more ways than one. A biopic is the first thing about Polanski that is about to grace Hollywood's Sunset Strip called POLANSKI UNAUTHORIZED
which is done by Damian Chapa. But on Polanski's side, he is directing a new haunt of a story in THE GHOST a political thriller which stars Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor.
It is based on the novel of the same name by Robert Harris.A British Prime Minister hires a ghostwriter to write the memoirs of his life, but the writer uncovers secrets that have put his life in jepordy. Will he make it out alive to put out the memoirs.Lensing began last week in Berlin. We will keep you up on release dates and more info as it comes in.

The CW channel has just announced that a third Winchester brother is to join the cult show SUPERNATURAL. Jake Abel has signed on to play as part of the family and will take on the role of 18 year old Adam Milligan. It is said that he will only appear in one show and no more after that.
To tell his part and why he's on would be a complete spoiler, but the episode in which he's in will be full of lots of suprises.

Well I don't know if this is gonna work but the classic novel PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austin is getting a new bloody updated version called PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. The new take will be penned by Seth Grahame-Smith, who is better known for his tv comedies. The new novel will be released in April and Hollywood is already jumping on the chance to take it to the big screen.
In Smith's version, Elizabeth Bennet and her four sisters will have been trained in the Japanese art of fighting by dear Mr. Darcy, and will now be zombie slayers. Not much else is known but we will keep you posted.

Pathe Films is ready to release their new horror film TORMENTED into theaters. They will only be releasing the Jon Wright directed film into U.K. sreens though at the moment. The new true to life horror movie MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" is raking in big names to be part of the cast in the movie directed by Werner Hetzog. Already signed on was Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe and Chloe Sevigny, but now to add to the big names is Brad Dourif, Michael Pena, Grace Zabriskie and Udo Kier.It is a loosely truth based psychological thriller about a San Diego man who murders his own mother with a sword.The film is set to start filming in March.
