Talks of a "Rosemary's Baby & Nightmare on Elm Street" remake |
|
Now to just start off, what the hell is with all the remakes? Is there no more originality left in Hollywood? People are killing all of our classic movies with these remakes. Don't get me wrong, some are decent, but there is nothing like an original. In saying that, Collider posted an interview with Platinum Dunes duo Brad Fuller and Andrew Form about yet another line of remakes they are doing. Already being released by them is the FRIDAY THE 13TH remake. Now they say they are in the beginning stages of remaking NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. When asked what they might do with the influence of FRIDAY to Freddy, Fuller says, "Well, we want to put Freddy in a hockey mask and we don't know how people feel about that but we're excited about it. I think that every iconic horror character you have to take on their own and kinda figure out what is appealing about that character and for Jason Voorhees, it's one thing because for the most part in all the movies...." Form chimes in, "He's a silent killer." Fuller continues with, "Right. So Freddy Krueger is a much more challenging character and that is not something that we just kind of stumble into and say "Hey, lets just make him!" and go do it." Come on! Freddy in a Jason mask. NO!When asked about ROSEMARY'S BABY being remade Form said, "We are not doing ROSEMARY'S BABY."
